Bilingual coding and inclusive CS learning

Yusuf is one of nine listed authors, seventh in author order, on a poster at the ACM SIGCSE Technical Symposium 2026. The study included 60 bilingual participants and examines inclusive computer science learning across languages.

Background

Study, teaching, and applied automation

Yusuf is an undergraduate in San José State University’s BS Computer Science program on the Applied Mathematics track, graduating May 2028. Since August 2024, he has worked as a CS tutor and student researcher under Professor Ethel Tshukudu.

His past work includes an unpaid AI/ML internship at Hwy Haul (May–July 2026), which has ended, and an IBM AI Creator credential completed from January–May 2026. He is also Project Manager for the Silicon Valley Entrepreneurship Club.
